I know somewhere in a dusty personal archive such rules exist, but I would suggest that you are the judge and I'm sure can devise your own rules to cover the situation. My players have made an enemy of a brothel owner, and sooner or later there will be death, and a reappropriation ^^ .

Great game by the way, and I'm a year younger than it !Vlad malkavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14287760654547816927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5668929633442649444.post-84189714462374516732009-05-28T09:38:11.743-07:002009-05-28T09:38:11.743-07:00I would defer to Mark Acres to speak to his contri...I would defer to Mark Acres to speak to his contribution to the game's design.Rick Krebshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02455824039524230156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5668929633442649444.post-80971522154686953782009-05-28T06:52:02.855-07:002009-05-28T06:52:02.855-07:00I would also be interested to hear what sort of de...I would also be interested to hear what sort of design changes Mark Acres brought to the table, if you wouldn't mind talking about his contributions.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00005554313326745078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5668929633442649444.post-9080078202809564322009-05-28T06:51:07.552-07:002009-05-28T06:51:07.552-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00005554313326745078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5668929633442649444.post-66013193196129311212009-05-27T10:12:19.575-07:002009-05-27T10:12:19.575-07:00I loved Gangbusters as a kid -- found the more rea...I loved Gangbusters as a kid -- found the more realistic tone (compared to other RPGs), as well as the period setting, very appealing. Most games set in this era are either "weird" games like CoC, or "pulp" games that turn heroes into night-unbeatable ubermenchen. Creating an RPG that hearkens to the old gangster films like The Public Enemy, or more modern films like The Untouchables or Miller's Crossing, or even the new "Public Enemies" movie, would be an interesting experiement in stepping away from the need to fantasize everything and bring the genre down to a dirty, bloody reality.

This would be a product that I'd definitely be interested in.Jack Badelairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10932441028544500024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5668929633442649444.post-36310338906116697452009-05-27T08:02:48.692-07:002009-05-27T08:02:48.692-07:00Hmmm... While I liked the style and core system of the game (IIRC), I'm not a huge fan of "straight" 20's role playing. What I mean by that is that I don't mind the era, but I prefer it to be infused with more "pulp" style: The Shadow/Doc Savage-type characters, weird fantasy-type baddies (a la Lovecraft/Long/Howard), etc. So I may not be the right man to offer advice on where to next take the game...

(Although I will say I generally dislike "entire redo" approaches: if the game's good, playable, and has fans, why re-imagine it?)

Whichever path you choose, I wish you luck!Christopher Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17368794259249607299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5668929633442649444.post-45410088936363755822009-05-27T07:14:36.165-07:002009-05-27T07:14:36.165-07:00Since your neighbors Jon and Kate seem to have had...Since your neighbors Jon and Kate seem to have had some success, have you considered a Reality Show approach ?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17468611922359015427noreply@blogger.com
